The family of “Phenomenal Star” Maine Mendoza, led by her mother, went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to file a complaint against the perpetrators of the alleged sex video the young actress is purportedly in.

The complaint was filed with the NBI’s Cybercrime Division headed by its chief, Victor Lorenzo.

Mendoza already denied she was the person in the video that circulated online.

The NBI Cybercrime chief said they will review the complaint and may summon the perpetrators to their office.

According to Lorenzo, possible charges of violation of the Anti-Voyeurism Act, the Safe Spaces Act, including cyber libel, unjust vexation and identity theft will be filed against those who created the video.

Mendoza’s manager, Rams David, also denied that it was Mendoza in the video, saying it is “fake” as it used deepfake technology, which employs artificial intelligence to manipulate and create deceptive content, using an original image or video and replacing it with another one’s likeness.

Mendoza’s management team strongly urged the public not to post or re-circulate said video, adding they will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action against those who will do so.
