LRT-1 schedule for the holidays announced

THE Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced its special train service schedule from December 20-23, December 24 (Christmas Eve), and December 31 (New Year’s Eve).

For December 20 to 22, the last trip leaving Baclaran Station is at 10:45 pm while the last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station is at 11:00 pm. On December 23, the last train is scheduled to leave Baclaran and Fernando Poe Jr. stations at 10:30 pm and 10:45 pm, respectively.

The schedule will change on Christmas Eve (December 24), where the last train will leave Baclaran Station at 8:00 pm while the last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station will leave at 8:15 pm. On New Year’s Eve (December 31), the last train from Baclaran Station will leave at 7:00 pm, and at 7:15 pm from Fernando Poe. Jr. Station.

However, the first trip schedules for both northbound and southbound trips of LRT-1 will remain at 4:30 am on weekdays and 5 am on weekends/holidays.

LRMC has made the necessary preparations to accommodate the increased passenger volume and we are committed to providing the best possible service. We have recently ramped up our service by increasing the number of trains deployed and train trips by almost 20 percent. A total of 14 brand-new 4th Generation trains are also running along the main line to serve more commuters. We understand the importance of reliable transportation especially during the holidays, and we assure that our LRT-1 passengers can continue to expect safe, reliable, and convenient travel experience,” LRMC Chief Operating Officer Rolando Paulino III said.

Moreover, the LRT-1 will continue to serve passengers on December 25, 2023 (Christmas Day), December 26 December, which is a special non-working holiday, December 30 December, which is Rizal Day, and January 1, 2024, New Year’s Day.

LRMC advises passengers to plan their trips accordingly and reminds passengers that ticket booths will close 10 minutes before the last train departs from the stations. For faster and more convenient travel, commuters are encouraged to purchase their LRT-1 QR tickets using LRMC’s ikotMNL app and the Maya app. Stored Value Cards may also be reloaded ahead of time through the Beep app, as well as through the e-tap loading kiosks and ticket vending machines found in all LRT-1 stations.
