THE Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced a reduction of power rates for their customers’ February bill.
Based on initial information, the rate reduction was pegged at more than 11 centavos (P0.1185) per kilowatt hour (kWh).
The reduced February charges was due to the lowering of the “generation charge.”
This means that if the consumption of a household is around 200 kWh per month, it means a reduction of P24 in their monthly bill.
If the power consumption is 300 kWh per month, it will mean a P35 reduction in the monthly bill, then P46 reduction for 400 kWh per month consumption, and P56 slash for a monthly consumption of 500 kWh.
Meralco earlier made a reduction in their power rates last January 2022.
