Following numerous speculations thrown at the celebrity couple, talent manager Lolit Solis has confirmed Sunday that Paolo Contis and Lj Reyes have broken up.
Solis, Contis’ manager and a showbiz writer, took it to Instagram to debunk the rumor that a third party was involved and unlike what many assumed, Solis emphasized that the two artists just fell out of love.
“Walang 3rd party sa hiwalayan(g) Paolo Contis at Lj Reyes, it was a matter of na outgrow na nila ang romance sa kanilang relasyon,” Solis wrote as a caption of a photo showing Contis and rumored new partner Yen Santos.
(There is no third party involved in the Paolo Contis and Lj Reyes breakup. It was a matter of outgrowing their romance in their relationship.)
The manager also shared that Contis and Reyes mutually decided to break up before any relationship conflict ensues to a worse fight, hoping they could just instead remain friends.
“Kesa naman humantong pa sa pag-aaway, mas gusto na nila na maghiwalay ng maayos, at dasal na mag-end as friends,” Solis said.
(They chose to split peacefully rather than waiting for their relationship to eventually lead into a fight and instead, they pray that they just end up as friends.)
On August 19, Contis deleted all photos of Reyes on his Instagram page and had all his followings removed although the latter still followed Contis’ account, making their fans flock with assumptions under their social media platforms.
Many users pointed out that Contis’ move was a sign to show that he is cutting off the relationship he had with Reyes since they first started dating in 2015, even dragging Santos as a potential cause of the breakup.
Contis and Santos starred in a latest film “A Faraway Land” which added a fuel to the public’s hearsay about the two. However, Solis stressed that Santos has nothing to do with Contis and Reyes’ romance.
“Huwag na natin idamay pa si Yen Santos dahil may sarili siyang love story. Kaya hindi siya kasali sa love life nila Paolo at LJ,” she requested.
(Let us stop involving Yen Santos. She has her own love story that’s why she is not a part of Paolo and Lj’s love life.)
Solis lastly asked everyone to stop drawing “subplots” and just put a period to stop the “story” fans created out of the couple’s reality and facts.
