Superstar LeBron James hit a game-winning three point shot with 58.2 seconds left to overcome the hot-shooting Golden State Warriors 103-100 in the NBA play-in tournament today.
The win gave the Los Angeles Lakers a playoffs ticket and will battle the Phoenix Suns in a 7-game series in the first round.
James finished the game with 22 points to complement the 25 points by fellow All-star Anthony Davis. Stephen Curry scored a game-high 37 points for the Warriors who will meet the Mephis Grizzlies on Saturday in a do-or-die game for the no. 8 seed in the Western Conference. The winner will then face the league-leading Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs.
Earlier today, Memphis eliminated the San Antonio Spurs from entering the playoffs via a 100-96 win.
