Latest PNP personnel shuffle to affect 16 high-ranking officials

AFTER a major personnel shuffle last January, the Philippine National Police (PNP) again conducted another manpower movement this month.

Under the unit reassignment signed by Police Major General Rolando Hinanay, Director of Personnel and Records Management of the PNP, 16 generals will be assigned to different posts effective today, February 3, 2022.

Among the generals who will be assigned to different posts are:

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PBGen. Antonio Yarra, who will be the new Director PRO CALABARZON and will replace PBGen. Eliseo Cruz, who will be assigned as Deputy Director of Area Police Command, Visayas.

Taking Yarra’s place as QCPD Director is PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Director PBGen. Remus Medina.

Meanwhile, PNP Training Service Director PBGen. Bernard Banac will be the new Director of Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) to replace PBGen. Rommel Cabagnot who is scheduled for retirement.

It was learned that the latest reshuffling is in preparation for the upcoming national and local elections, and for senior officers who are set for retirement.
