THE cold steel bars of a jail cell await a 28-year old guy after he was nabbed by police carrying a gun in a buy-bust operation in Malabon City the other night.
The chief of the District Special Operation Unit of the Northern Police District (DSOU-NPD) P/Lt. Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the arrested suspect as John Christian Elpaulino, of Don Binito, Brgy. 21, Caloocan City.
In the investigation conducted by PSSgt. Paul Colasito, the DSOU received information from a confidential informant that suspect Elpaulino is allgedly selling a gun and bullets at Alupihang Dagat St., Brgy. Longos, Malabon City.
The DSOU immediately formed a team led by P/Capt. Melito Pabon and mounted a buy-busy operation, together with a regular confidential informant (RCI) and managed to transact with the suspect.
After the transaction, police operatives immediately approached the suspect and announced the buy bust.
The police recovered a cal. 38 revolver and P1,000 marked money.
The suspect now faces charges of violation of R.A. 10591 and BP 881 in relation to Commission on Elections Resolution No. 10728.
