MORE election gun ban violators have been arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Based on PNP data as of 6 a.m. today, February 7, 2022, there are now at least 859 individuals arrested for violation of the gun ban.
The National Capital Region (NCR) has the most number of violators, followed by Region 4-A, Region 7, Region 3 and Region 6.
Those found violating the gun ban will be jailed from one year up to six years.
Meanwhile, the PNP also noted that they have already established more than 40,000 checkpoints around the country.
