MORE violators of the election gun ban were arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Based on PNP data, as of 6 am today, February 15, 2022, there were already 1,106 gun ban violators arrested by the police.
The National Capital Region (NCR) leads in the number of violators, followed by Regions 7, 4-A, 3 and 6.
It was learned that the penalty for violating the gun ban is imprisonment of from one year up to six years.
Meanwhile, the PNP reported that they confiscated around 851 guns and 389 deadly weapons.
