Go visits typhoon victims in Meycauayan City

MEYCAUAYAN CITY, Bulacan – SENATOR Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go personally led the relief operation and distribution of food packs and cash assistance to some 758 families and affected residents who were hardly hit by flash floods/ floodwater due to heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Ulysses in Meycauayan City on Wednesday

The distribution of food packs was held at the Malhacan Integrated School, Barangay Malhacan in Meycauayan City and was personally handed over by Go’s team to the typhoon victims all lives along coastal villages who hardly hit and submerged into 4-7ft of floodwater.

The recipients were from villages of Malhacan, Tugatog, Saluysoy, Bancal, Banga, Bayugo, St Francis Gasak, Zamora, Calvario at Longos.

The senator promised that once the COVID vaccine is available, the people of Meycauayan will be the first to have.

Go also distributed face masks, face shields, 20 pcs of bicycles, vitamins and 25 tablets.

The senator’s team was accompanied by Congressman Henry Villarica of 4th District of Bulacan, his wife Meycauayan Mayor Linabelle Villarica, and some members of the Sangguniang Lungsod.

Last week, the former Special Assistant to the President, visited the town of Calumpit and Marilao also in Bulacan assisted by Governor Daniel Fernando where he also provides same assistance to the residents there who also victims of typhoon Rolly and Ulysses

Fernando thanked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Sen. Go and his team for always supporting and for not forgetting the province of Bulacan during this trying times.
