THE Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced that the LRT-2 will offer free rides to the public on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
This is in relation to the celebration of the 124th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day.
In an advisory issued by the LRTA, the free rides at the LRT-2, commonly known as the “Purple Line” and runs on an east-west direction from Masinag in Antipolo City to C.M. Recto Avenue in Manila, will be open to the public on the following hours:
- 7 a.m. up to 9 a.m.
- 5 p.m. up to 7 p.m.
LRTA management likewise reminded the LRT-2 riding public to still observe health and safety protocols against COVID-19 such as the wearing of face masks and physical distancing in their trips.
