A FORMER vice mayor of Valenzuela City was nabbed by operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) Sampaloc Police Station 4 inside the Makati City Hall on Friday morning.
The suspect was identified as Evelyn Hernandez, 58 years old, single, and businesswoman from Consolacion Street Malinta, Valenzuela City, who was arrested on two counts of violating Batas Pambansa 22 or “Bouncing Checks Law.”
Based on reports by Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilson Villaruel, MPD Sampaloc Station 4 Commander, Hernandez was arrested at around 10:30 a.m. inside the Makati City Hall along Angono Street.
Police Executive Master Sargent Luis Coderes of the Intelligence and Warrant Section of Station 4 led the arresting team, who was tipped off about the suspect’s location by an informant.
The team served the arrest warrant issued by Hon. George Andy Pantanosas, Acting Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 1 of Antipolo City dated September 6, 2022.
The suspect was allowed to post P13,000 bail for each count of the BP 22 violations.
