Five cops face raps at DOJ for missing “sabungero” in Laguna

A COMPLAINT was filed at the Department of Justice (DOJ) against five policemen in the case of a missing e-sabong agent in San Pablo City, Laguna.

The cops face charges of violation of Article 293 related to Article 296 of the Revised Penal Code or Robbery with Intimidation and by a band filed by Honey Lyn Sason regarding the alleged abduction of Ricardo Ricafort Lasco Jr. by more than 10 men in August 30 of last year.

Three other witnesses including Lasco’s live-in partner Princess Montanez testified in the complaint against the five policemen.

The complaint was filed against Police Staff Sergeant Daryl Paghangaan, Patrolman Roy Navarete, Police Lieutenant Henry Sasaluya, Police Master Sergeant Michael Claveria, Patrolman Rigel Brosas and six other “John Does.”

According to Princess, they were inside their house when the suspects barged in and introduced themselves as agents of the National Bureau of Investigation.

She added that the suspects ransacked the house aside from abducting Lasco.
