Daily COVID-19 cases in the country last week lower than 300

ABOUT 272 new COVID-19 cases in the country were recorded daily in the past week.

The Department of Health (DOH) logged a total of 1,906 new COVID-19 cases from April 4 to April 10, 2022.

The DOH said this is lower by 29 percent from the average daily cases compared to the daily cases recorded from March 28 until April 3.

There were no severe or critical cases among the new COVID-19 patients, although the DOH said there were 428 fatalities during the past week.

Based on the COVID-19 case bulletin of the DOH, there were 707 severe and critical patients that are still in hospitals.

Meanwhile, the DOH reported that from the overall 2,951 ICU beds for COVID-19 patients, around 542 or 18.4 percent are occupied.

As for the 24,689 non-ICU COVID-19 beds, about 16.4 percent are currently being used.
