MARIVELES, BATAAN – A fire engulfed and destroyed three houses made of light materials in Sitio Lilimbin, Camaya, Mariveles, on Monday, as high temperatures continue to grip the province.
According to initial reports, some homeowners were away at work in factories and a hardware store, while another was in Manila when the blaze broke out. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire spread quickly due to the close proximity of the homes. Authorities are currently investigating the cause and assessing the extent of the damage.
This marks the first reported fire in Bataan this March, a stark reminder as the country observes Fire Prevention Month.
