A government expert reacted against the claim of some local government units on the alleged slow deployment of COVID-19 vaccines.

According to Department of Health (DOH) Usec. Myrna Cabotaje, chairperson of the National Vaccination Operations Center, certain areas needed to be prioritized in the distribution because of the limited supply of vaccines.

The statement by the expert came after Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso pointed to the slow distribution of the vaccines by the DOH.

Currently, the AstraZeneca vaccines in the country’s inventory of COVID-19 vaccines are set to expire in June and July and should be injected at the soonest possible time.
