Erap tested positive for COVID-19

FORMER Philippine President Jose Ejercito Estrada has been tested positive for COVID-19, says his son son former Senator Jinggoy Estrada in a Facebook post early today.

He however assured supporters that his dad is already stable but still asked the public to pray for the former President.

Jinggoy said.

According to Jinggoy, it was Thursday last week when he noticed that his father had gone weak and sick, which compelled him to take the former President to the hospital where he was tested. The initial result was negative.

On Sunday, he was again seen having difficulty in breathing, prompting the young Estrada to call a doctor friend who told them to take the former President to the hospital where he was tested again. The result this time was positive.

Asked where his dad could have got the virus, Jinggoy said that his father could have been infected by one of his visitors since the 83-year old Estrada hardly goes out.

As such Jinggoy said that he would personally see to it that no visitor could see his father for the time being.

Siguro one of his visitors merong may COVID, nahawa, ‘di rin natin alam. Kahit magalit ang tatay ko, hindi na siguro ako magpapapasok kahit sinong bisita,” he said.

Jinngoy, who has gone on quarantine since he is a close contact of the former President, said that the former President’s condition has improved as his oxygen level has gone up.
