A WEEK after being diagnosed with the deadly COVID-19, the 83-year old former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada is finally showing some good signs as he has reportedly been responding well to the treatment, says his son, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
According to a Facebook post of the former senator, the condition of his father, who has remained in the hospital due to pneumonia, has “steadily improved.”
“Doctors are now starting to slowly wean him off ventilator support,” Jinggoy said.
The former president was under mechanical ventilation earlier this week after doctors found out about his worsening pneumonia.
“Please continue to pray that he recovers completely from this devastating disease and that no new complications set back his progress,” Jinggoy concluded.
