Easterlies and Northeast Monsoon to bring rains, strong winds across the Philippines – PAGASA

The eEasterlies will continue to bring warm and humid weather over the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” will bring rains to parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will experience rains due to the northeast monsoon. PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy rains in these areas could lead to flash floods and landslides.

The northeast monsoon will also bring isolated light rains to the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas are expected in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters will prevail over the rest of Luzon and Visayas, as well as the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA added.
