THE Department of Justice (DOJ) formally ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate reports about the abduction and disappearance of some “sabungeros” in parts of the country.
In Department Order 042 signed by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, it ordered NBI OIC Director Eric Distor to immediately start the investigation and once their is enough evidence is to file appropriate charges against those involved.
The DOJ secretary was referring to reports of sabungeros who were abducted a few weeks ago and have yet to be found.
Guevarra gave the NBI 10 days to submit a report to the DOJ on the progress of their investigation.
