Disaster Response Teams ng DPWH, handa nang tumulong sa sitwasyon sa Taal

PINAKILOS na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang kanilang Disaster Response Teams  para sa operasyon sa  Bulkang Taal.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, nakapre-position na aa paligid ng bulkan ang nasa kabuuang 826 personnel na may 107 equipment sakaling may mangyari na muling pagsabog ng naturang bulkan.

Sa report ng DPWH Bureau of Maintenance, sinabi ni  Villar na ang Quick Response Teams (QRTs) ng DPWH Regional Office IV-A at lahat ng 16 na District Engineering Offices ay handa nang ipakalat upang tumulong sa aktibidad ng paglikas at clearing operation sa national  roads .

As a response to the recent Taal Volcano activity, we have prepared an action plan for pre, during and post-disaster response. Under our action plan, our QRTs will be clustered into six (6) command centers strategically located around the volcano to make our response operations efficient,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ang mga command centers ay matatagpuan sa DPWH Batangas 1st DEO sa  Balayan, Batangas, Batangas 2nd DEO sa Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City, Batangas 3rd DEO sa Tanauan, Batangas, Batangas 4th DEO sa Lipa City, Batangas, Cavite 2nd DEO aa Alfonzo, Cavite, at Cavite 3rd DEO sa Carmona, Cavite. “These command centers will ensure that national roads and bridges in their area are passable and shall identify alternative roads for response operations. They shall also provide temporary structures to restore mobility when necessary,” dagdag pa ni Villar
