Damaged roads, flooding brought by TD “Pepito” reported in parts of Luzon

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or the NDRRMC releases report on damaged roads and flooding in some parts of Luzon including Visayas region caused by typhoon “Pepito”.

ROADS AND BRIDGES:

1. Damaged approach of Caraycaray bridge detour in Brgy. Caraycaray, Naval, Biliran

FLOODING:

1. National Road Purok 5, Brgy. Mercedes, Catbalogan City, Samar – Not passable to all types of vehicles

LANDSLIDE INCIDENTS:

1. Along CALBAYOG-CATARMAN Road at Brgy. Nabang, Calbayog City.

2. Maharlika highway, brgy. Jiaan – Passable

STATUS OF PORTS

A. Sea Ports

1. Allen, Northern Samar

– 668 passengers, 276 rolling cargoes

2. Various Ports

– 9 vessels

B. Airports

1. Calbayog City Airport – Non-operational

2. Catarman Airport – Non-operational

FLOODING INCIDENT

1. National Road Purok 5, Brgy. Mercedes, Catbalogan City, Samar

– Ongoing clearing operations

LANDSLIDE INCIDENT

1. Along CALBAYOG-CATARMAN Road at Brgy. Nabang, Calbayog City

– Immediate Clearing Operations conducted. Status: 2 lanes already passable as of 10AM 25Oct2020

2. Maharlika highway, brgy. Jiaan

– Passable
