THE Department of Health (DOH) reported that the recorded daily COVID-19 cases in the past week rose by 53 percent.
The increase from June 20-26 was higher compared to the previous week, which was from June 13-19, 2022.
According to the DOH, the average daily COVID-19 cases went up to 662 last week, which means 4,634 new cases in the country were added.
Among the new cases, 14 experienced severe and critical symptoms, and 51 were added to the COVID-19 fatalities.
Until yesterday, there were 591 severe and critical cases that are still admitted in hospitals due to COVID-19.
Among the 2,628 ICU beds allotted for COVID-19 patients, 391 or 14.9 percent are occupied. Meanwhile, 18.1 percent of the 22,251 non-ICU COVID-19 beds are currently being utilized.
