THE Department of Health (DOH) noted that the daily average of COVID-19 infections in Metro Manila is already plateauing based on data in the past week.

This means that the decline in the number of cases is slowing down, according to DOH spokesperson and Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

DOH data revealed that from the 404 recorded in November 1 up to 7, daily cases went down to 435 last November 8-14, and further went down to 315 from November 15-21.

Vergeire said this is the same situation in other regions in the country, except in other parts of Luzon wherein there was a decrease in the number of cases although a slowdown is also being seen.

Also, the average of cases in the country went down to 1,436 from November 15-21, according to DOH data.

This came from the 1,986 daily cases logged from November 8-14.
