THE Department of Health (DOH) said that COVID-19 cases continue to rise in all regions of the country while positivity rate stood at 4.1 percent although the average daily attack rate (ADAR) remains low.
According to DOH Spokesperson and Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the current positivity rate is the same as the level experienced in March of last year.
Although the country remains at low risk classification, Vergeire said that recorded cases continue to go up at 710 cases daily starting June 21 up to June 27.
This is higher by 57 percent or 257 cases compared to last week.
Despite this, Vergeire said that there is no reason to panic since ADAR is at less than one per 100,000 population.
She also pointed to the rise of cases in the National Capital Region from mid-May, which is about an average of 350 cases daily.
Although COVID-19 cases rose in the remaining parts of Luzon, NCR Plus areas and the Visayas, this will not reach more than 150 cases per day.
Even in Mindanao, there was a surge in cases that reached an estimated 50 per day.
