Netflix announces earlier release date of Cobra Kai Season 3

Great news to Karate Kid fans, or should we say Cobra Kai fans!

The long wait for Cobra Kai season 3 is over as it will be streamed via Netflix a week earlier than previously announced.

The lead star of the show William Zabka did not agree with the streaming service announcement in October that the third season would launch on January 8, 2021. In a YouTube post of Netflix, Zabka said that it is “too long” for fans to wait so the new premiere date is on January 1.

A happy new year indeed for the high flyin’and kickin’ followers of the hit series.

The first 2 seasons of Cobra Kai were initially available on YouTube Red and became a global hit when it was acquired by Netflix.

Cobra Kai is the continuation of the Karate kid movie franchise from the 1980s. It follows the rivalry of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (Zabka).
