Face-to-face classes in public schools, from day care to senior high school, as well as the Alternative Learning System (ALS), will be suspended on Monday, January 13, 2025, in Quezon City.
Work in Quezon City government offices is also suspended, but online transactions will remain available through https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/.
The suspension is in line with the National Rally for Peace, organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo, whose Central Temple and a significant portion of its members are based in Quezon City.
Public schools are expected to shift to alternative delivery modes for classes, utilizing synchronous or asynchronous methods.
Private schools and companies are given the discretion to decide whether to suspend their operations.
Essential government agencies, including those handling health services, disaster preparedness, law enforcement, and other critical services, will continue their operations without interruption.
