Chaos in Kabul

CHAOS erupted at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul on Sunday as more Afghans made a mad dash at every single aircraft that landed at the airport, the last route for Afghans to flee the country as the Talibans begin to take over the country’s government.

Some people can also be seen hanging by the side of aircrafts at the airport, hoping to get a ride out of the country and escape impending Taliban rule.

On Monday, the US government closed the airport so that they can continue evacuating US personnel and other allies.

Photo shows around 650 Afghans tightly crammed inside a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster II cargo plane, far more than what it can carry safely, as they tried to escape Taliban rule that is making a comeback after 20 years.

The US government already announced that they will withdraw their troops from Afghanistan by the end of the month, but it seems the Taliban, a militant group that ran the Afghan government in the late 1990s, can’t wait.

The Taliban blitzed every major city in the country after Western-backed President Ashraf Ghani stepped down to avoid any more bloodshed.
