A PROGRAM that provides scholarship grants to students was launched by police personnel in a barangay in Cagayan de Oro City.

Personnel from the Cagayan de Oro City Police Station 1 initiated the “Adopt A Daycare Program” in Barangay 7 that seeks to provide scholarship grants to students, from Kindergarten to Grade 7, to chosen beneficiaries in the barangay.

Aside from the scholarship grant, the program also provides psycho-social and family intervention services, responsible parenting seminars, livelihood and values formation programs, as well as mental and physical health services.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Guillermo Eleazar, praised the cops for giving importance to the education of the children in the said barangay.

This noteworthy project is part of the PNP’s initiatives for the police to help in the educational needs of the youth, especially that we’re still facing a pandemic. This is a noble way for the police to show that the police is one with our youth in helping them fulfill their dreams in life,” he said.
