A 46-year-old businessman was killed after being sprayed with bullets by an unknown assailant in Navotas City.
According to Navotas City Police Office (NCPO) Director Police Col. Rolando Balasabas, victim Gualberto Arizala, Jr. of Block 38 Lot 10 Phase 2, Area 4 in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS) died at Tondo hospital while being treated with bullet wounds in his body.
Initial investigation reveals that around 6 a.m. on Friday, November 13, Arizala was talking to his 53-year-old neighbor Rolando Garcia when an unidentified gunman arrived in front of them and shot the former several times.
The suspect immediately rode to a waiting motorcycle driven by an unknown accomplice before escaping away towards Malabon City area.
The Kaunlaran Police Sub-Station immediately conducted a dragnet operation along Maya-Maya St. Barangay NBBS however failed to tracked the suspects.
Police at the crime scene recovered five rounds of ammunition from an unspecified type of firearm while follow-up investigation into the possible identities of the suspects.
Authorities are still looking for the motive of the killing.
