LAGUNA – A businessman was shot dead on Wednesday while playing basketball in Barangay Pansol, in Calamba City.
Calamba City Police chief Lt. Col. Gene Licud said that the victim identified as Lordem Pangilinan Bayot ,31, a junk shop owner of Purok 5, Barangay Sucol in the said city.
According to witnesses, Bayot was playing basketball at the said place of the incident when a man with gun approached and shoot him several times hitting in different parts of his body.
The victim rushed to Pamana Hospital but the doctor declared him Dead on Arrival.
Investigators said Bayot was a victim of possible personal vendetta with the still unidentified suspect.
