Bulacan’s P6-Billion budget for 2021, okayed

THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bulacan has approved its P6billion-peso budget for the year 2021.

According to Governor Daniel Fernando, in the outlined Provincial Development Plan (PDP) is where the allocated fund will be prioritized.

From the P5.7-billion-peso provincial budget in 2020, it increased due to its income per capital.

The said approved budget will allocate the social services sector worth P2.4 billion followed by P2.2 billion for the general services of the Capitol.

A total of P1.2 billion has been allocated for the economic recovery of Bulacan.

The governor further explained that larger funding in the social services sector is for the Capitol’s stronger response against COVID-19.

The ongoing operations of the Bulacan Infectious Diseases Control Center, Bulacan Molecular Diagnostic Testing Laboratory, Gene Expert Laboratory and the formation of the Provincial Contact Tracing Team will be funded specifically.

The social services fund includes the further improvement of the service of the hospitals run by the Capitol.

The Capitol Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund is at P282.9 million, P146 million for various projects to care for the poor Bulakenyos implemented by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and P86 million pesos for the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
