Port of LIMAY – The Bureau of Customs (BoC) Port of Limay announced that it was able to collect a total of P8.9 billion last May.
This enabled BOC Port of Limas to establish a record-breaking surplus totaling over P1.9 billion.
According to District Collector William Balayo, these numbers were based on his report sent to BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero.
Port of Limay’s exact collection last May was P8,981,208,884. or about 26.93 percent higher versus their target.
Meanwhile, according to their mandate to collect revenues, the BoC was able to overshoot its target revenue collection last May 2022 by 20.8 percent, or P11.767, for an actual collection of P68.245 billion compared to the P56.478 billion revenue target.
Based on initial reports from the BoC-Financial Service, 15 out of 17 collection districts were able to overshoot their target for the month.
These were the Port of San Fernando, Port of Manila, Manila International Container Port, Ports of Batangas, Legaspi, Iloilo, Cebu, Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Davao, Subic, Clark, Aparri and Limay.
