AstraZeneca jabs arriving Thursday night

IT seems Senator Bong Go always gets first-hand information on the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines even before Malacañang could make an announcement.

Go, a longtime aide of President Rodrigo Duterte before he became a senator, said that 487,200 doses of COVID-19 vaccines manufactured by AstraZeneca would be landing on Philippine soil on Thursday night.

The AstraZeneca vaccines were supposed to be delivered in the country on Monday, but somehow failed to arrive amid what vaccine czar Carlito Galvez claimed as a delay caused by supply issues.

“Yung hindi natuloy na pagpapadala ng bakuna noong Lunes mula sa AstraZeneca ay meron nang liham na darating na sana bukas ng gabi yung 487,200 doses,” Go said.

Duterte is expected to personally receive the AstraZeneca jabs at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.
