THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) recently conducted a reshuffle of almost 400 of its personnel assigned at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
This is part of the agency’s campaign to weed out corruption in their ranks.
According to BI Port Operations Division chief Atty. Carlos Capulong, around 398 immigration officers were affected by the reshuffle.
He said that the reshuffle was part of measures to prevent fraternization among airport personnel.
Aside from the BI officers who man NAIA’s immigration counters, the bureau will also conduct daily reshuffling of terminal assignments among more than 80 immigration supervisors, Capulong added.
