The Department of Health (DOH) reported today a total of 1,744 additional cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The number represents about 5.6 percent of the total 31,115 active cases.
This also brings the total number of cases nationwide to 555,163, according to Case Bulletin #341 of the DOH.
Meanwhile, the bulletin also reported a total of 412 new recoveries today to bring to 512,375 the total number of recovered patients, which is about 92.3 percent.
There were also 96 persons who died today to bring to 11,673 the total number of deaths.
The DOH continues to remind the public to strictly follow the minimum public health standards. It is also encouraged to observe the proper wearing of face masks and face shields, maintaining social distancing of not less than 1 meter apart, frequent washing of hands, and avoiding crowded or not well ventilated and enclosed spaces to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in the country.
