PhilFirst, one of the country’s oldest non-life insurance companies and a member of the Philippines First Insurance Group, has partnered with AI-enabled InsurTech platform ProTech to introduce next-generation integrated insurance solutions aimed at making insurance more accessible and convenient for Filipino consumers.
The strategic alliance combines PhilFirst’s more than a century of underwriting expertise with ProTech’s artificial intelligence-driven digital insurance platform, allowing customers to access, purchase, and manage insurance seamlessly at the point of sale. Founded in 1906, PhilFirst is among the Philippines’ longest-established non-life insurers, providing insurance protection for Filipino families and businesses through its extensive underwriting experience and financial stability.
PhilFirst Chief Operations Officer Analiza Evasco said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to evolving alongside the changing needs of consumers. “At PhilFirst, our century-long legacy has always been anchored on trust and an unwavering commitment to the Filipino people. As the lifestyle of our consumers evolves, our delivery of protection must evolve with them. Partnering with ProTech allows us to infuse our time-tested underwriting expertise with world-class AI technology. We are excited to make comprehensive insurance not just a safety net, but a seamless, effortless service that provides true peace of mind in our customers’ everyday lives,” Evasco said.
Its new partner, ProTech, is an international InsurTech company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates that operates across South Asia and other emerging markets. The company provides an AI-powered platform that enables retailers, lenders, and digital businesses to sell, manage, and service insurance products online.
Under the partnership, customers will benefit from insurance coverage backed by PhilFirst while enjoying a digital experience powered by ProTech’s platform. The integrated system streamlines the entire insurance process, including enrollment, policy management, customer support, policy administration, and claims processing. The companies said the collaboration also enables lenders, digital platforms, retailers, and traditional distribution channels to embed insurance into their customer journeys, supporting the industry’s shift from offering insurance as a standalone product to delivering it as an integrated, everyday service.
