THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Thursday expressed its “deep gratitude” to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for approving an increase in the base pay and subsistence allowance of its uniformed personnel beginning January 2026.
In a statement, the PCG said the President’s approval reflects his continued support for the agency and recognition of the daily sacrifices made by Coast Guard personnel in safeguarding the country’s vast maritime domain.
PCG spokesperson Captain Noemie Cayabyab said the pay adjustment is more than just financial assistance but also an affirmation of the administration’s confidence in the men and women of the Coast Guard.
“This additional benefit will not only boost the morale of our personnel. It will also allow them to better provide for their families as they fulfill their sworn duty to the nation,” Captain Cayabyab added.
She added that the public can expect the PCG to remain steadfast in delivering prompt and essential maritime services as it works toward a safer, more secure, and more resilient Philippines.
