The MEXC Foundation, the impact-driven arm of MEXC Group, has initiated a large-scale humanitarian relief mission in the Philippines following two devastating earthquakes that struck Cebu and Davao earlier this month.
The Foundation’s operation was organized in response to the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that hit Cebu on September 30 and the 7.4-magnitude tremor that shook Davao on October 10. In the aftermath of these disasters, MEXC Foundation rapidly mobilized a cross-sector relief network to deliver essential aid to 225 displaced families.
Working in partnership with Web3 Cebu, JCI, Alpha Kappa PI, local media outlets, the Davao DeFi Community, and several volunteer organizations, the Foundation distributed clean water, rice, food packs, hygiene kits, blankets, and clothing to the most affected communities across North Cebu and Davao.
By linking Web3 communities with civic organizations, student groups, and local business networks, the Foundation built a swift and coordinated distribution system that ensured supplies reached survivors within days.
This initiative exemplifies MEXC Foundation’s Community Giving pillar—one of its three main commitments, alongside Education and Empowerment—showcasing how blockchain organizations can transcend the digital sphere and play a vital role in real-world humanitarian efforts.
Established in August 2025, MEXC Foundation aims to promote responsible Web3 adoption while addressing urgent social needs through inclusive, innovative, and community-focused initiatives.
