The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is fully prepared to ensure the orderly, peaceful, and credible conduct of the National and Local Elections (NLE) on May 12, 2025.
In compliance with the directive of the Philippine National Police (PNP) leadership, Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, Deputy District Director for Administration and Officer-in-Charge, announced that QCPD has been placed under full alert status since May 3, 2025, as part of its comprehensive security preparations.
QCPD has also provided security during the transport of election paraphernalia and Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) from Laguna to Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City, and subsequently to various polling centers across the city. Police personnel continue to guard these centers where election equipment is being stored and will remain on-site until the conclusion of the election.
Over 4,000 police personnel will be deployed across polling precincts and strategic areas throughout Quezon City to conduct anti-criminality operations and ensure a swift response to any incidents on election day.
QCPD remains in close coordination with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Department of Education (DepEd), local government units, and other partner agencies to ensure the effective implementation of election security protocols.
“We call on the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and report any suspicious activity or incidents to the nearest police station or through the QC Helpline 122. To all QCPD personnel, remember to remain apolitical, steer clear of any political involvement, and uphold the highest standards of integrity in ensuring a secure and peaceful electoral process,” said PCOL Silvio.
