A POLICE officer who was allegedly drunk and shot a student in Quezon City was meted with a 90-day suspension.
The police officer, P/Cpl. Reymark Rigor from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will be suspended for 90 days or three months for allegedly being drunk and for shooting a student in Brgy. Sacred Hear in Quezon City last February 8, 2022.
Aside from P/Cpl. Rigor, six other police officers from the QCPD will also be placed under preventive suspension.
According to Atty. Ralph Calinisan, Executive OIfficer of the Quezon City-People’s Law Enforcement Board, the suspension will be enforced while the investigation is ongoing.
P/Cpl. Rigor was also charged with frustrated murder and illegal possession of firearms in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
The six other police officers are facing administrative cases for alleged negligence.
Two of the police officers belittled the victim’s complaint, saying the victim only suffered a minor injury.
The four other QCPD police officers, on the other hand, allegedly did not do anything and did not even attempt to stop Rigor the moment he started firing his gun.
