MORE violators were added to the number of individuals arrested for violation of the election gun ban.
According to data from the Philippine National Police (PNP), there were already 1,494 gun ban violators arrested as of 6 am today, February 28, 2022.
The National Capital Region (NCR) still leads in the most number of violators, followed by Region 7, Region 4-A, Region 3 and Region 6.
It was learned that the penalty for violation of the gun ban is imprisonment of from one year up to six years.
Meanwhile, the PNP said about 1,143 guns and 540 deadly weapons have already been confiscated.
