Baccay said that on February 20, joint operating troops of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Command (PMFC), together with other police units and concerned agencies facilitated the voluntary surrender of thirteen former rebels who were members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid (LMB), Alyansang Mangbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) under the Kilusan ng Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (KMP) and former member of Milisyang Bayan/PasaBilis under “Ka Emy” identified as “Ka Aladin” who turned-in one Caliber .38 revolver without serial number and one converted Caliber 22 rifle.
Meanwhile, on February 21, joint elements of the Aliaga Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the 84th Infantry Batallion of the Philippine Army (PA) facilitated the withdrawal of support of forty members of left leaning organizations under Nicomedez Ortiz, a.k.a. “Dagohoy.”
The PRO3 director added that “The unremitting efforts of Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) have been the contributory factors for the continuous surrender of more active and former members of CTGs as well as withdrawal of support of their sympathizers and supporters.“
