THE Department of Health (DOH) today confirmed that they have already recorded the fourth case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
In a media briefing, DOH Undersecretary and spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire said the patient is a 38-year-old woman who traveled from the United States.
The patient arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last December 10 aboard Philippine Airlines Flight PR 127.
On December 13, the patient had symptoms of the disease such as itchy throat and colds.
It was learned that the patient was asymptomatic when she was discharged from the isolation facility last December 24.
The patient is currently under home isolation.
