THE government said between 70,000 to 90,000 jabs of COVID-19 vaccines have already been administered daily to the “general adult population” in the National Capital Region (NCR).
This was announced by Dr. Kezia Rosario of the National Vaccines Operation Center (NVOC) in her presentation during the Laging Handa public briefing held today.
She reported that vaccination coverage in the NCR is already high since the past month and they are already targeting the remaining adult population that are still unvaccinated.
Rosario said that local government units in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao can already start vaccinating the general adult population in their respective areas.
She explained that all individuals aged 18 and above should just proceed to the vaccination sites in their areas since vaccine supply is already enough.
The only thing that needs to be ensured in vaccination sites is that vaccination should be properly monitored and that priority should be given to the “vulnerable” sector such as the senior citizens, Rosario added.
