15,000 Bulacan scholars get financial assistance

A TOTAL of 15,331 Bulakenyo scholars received their scholarship grant from the provincial government of Bulacan under the “Tulong Pang-Edukasyon Gabay ng Bagong Henerasyon” scholarship program.

The financial assistance was personally turned over by Governor Daniel Fernando to the students during the distribution of scholarship grant and financial assistance held weekly at the Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City.

The distribution continues while observing strict compliance to the IATF health standard and protocols amid the pandemic.

Shulamite dela Peña, a 3rd year Communication Arts student of La Consolacion University, expressed her appreciation of the program. 

Malaking tulong ang scholarship sa aming mga estudyante lalo na sa mga walang kakayahang magbayad ng tuition fee sa mga private school, gayundin sa mga mag-aaral sa public para sa mga gastusin sa mga project tulad ng thesis at iba pa,” dela Peña said. 

Fernando said the beneficiaries for the 2020-2021 First Semester include 3,707 students from Other School/Private Colleges where each student received P3,500; 3,398 students from State Universities and Colleges went home with P3,000 each,

Meanwhile, 2,734 students from Senior High School (Public) and 1,543 students from Senior High School (Private) got P3,000 each; 320 Masteral students and 40 students who are taking Board Exam reviews took home P5,000 each; and 3,573 learners of the province enrolled at the Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC) received “Katibayan ng Pagiging Iskolar.”
