Manila Vice Mayor Ma. Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan has tested positive for COVID-19.
In an official statement released by Manila Public Information Office (MPIO), the Vice Mayor, who is also a physician, announced that she learned about her swab test positive result on Sunday afternoon.
“Nais ko pong ipabatid na ako po ay nagpositibo sa COVID-19 ngayong hapon, Agosto 8, 2021,” Lacuna stated.
(I would like to announce that I have tested positive for CoVid-19 this afternoon, August 8, 2021.)
“Sa kabila ng matinding pag-iingat ay hindi ko lubos na inaasahan ang nakakalungkot na resulta. Dahil dito, kinakailangan kong pansumandaling magpahinga at magpagaling,” the Manila Vice Mayor added.
(In spite of doing safety precautions, I did not expect to receive this unfortunate result. Because of this, I would be needing a time to take some rest for awhile and recuperate.)
