Chinese national killed in Bulacan drug bust; P510-M shabu seized

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A Chinese national was killed and 75 kilograms of a suspected white crystalline substance known as “shabu” with an estimated street value of P510 million were seized during a buy-bust operation in Balagtas, Bulacan on Sunday afternoon.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) director PCol. Lawrence Cajipe said joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 3, Bulacan PPO, and Balagtas Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation, and resulted to the death of a 50-year-old Chinese national identified as Wu Zishen, a resident of Brgy. Santol, Balagtas, Bulacan.

Investigation showed that the operatives set a drug entrapment operation that occurred around 5:40 p.m. at Warehouse No. 3 Grand SG Barangay Borol 2nd in Balagata.

During a confrontation, the suspect and his cohort identified as alias Chen Hongli resisted arrest and engaged in an armed encounter resulting to the death of Wu Zishen while his cohort eluded arrest.

Recovered from the suspect were 75 pieces of Green Tea Bags of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 75 kilos with estimated value of P510 million, two cell phones, two identification cards, buy-bust money and a Colt. 45 pistol.
