BUKAS na ang mega quarantine facility sa Zamboanga City na maaaring mag-cater sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19 sa Western Mindanao makaraang i-turn over ito ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Ayon sa DPWH, nakumpleto na ang conversion ng lumang Zamboanga Convention Center sa Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.
Sinabi ni DPWH Secretaryy Mark Villar na ang bagong converted convention center na ginawang mega-quarantine facility ay may 188 kama para sa pagsubaybay at paggamot sa mga asymptomatic at moderate COVID-19 na mga pasyente.
“DPWH construction of quarantine facilities using available spaces like this convention center will give our hospitals more capacity to handle severe and critical patients and make up for the shortage of hospital beds because of the pandemic,” DPWH Task Force for Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities Head Emil Sadain sa ginanap na turnover ceremony bilang kinatawan ni Villar.
