Five people were confirmed injured when a passenger bus plowed through a tricycle terminal in Barangay Maligaya, Mariveles, Bataan, at around 5:42 a.m. today.
In an initial report from Police Lt. Col. Nestor Chavez, Mariveles PNP chief, the passenger bus, driven by Manuel de Guzman, apparently lost its brakes and rammed through a row of parked tricycles in the said area before hitting an electric post.
The still unidentified victims were quickly rushed to the nearest hospital in the area, and the driver immediately surrendered to the police.
The driver is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property and serious physical injuries.
